Can’t Control Everything

There are times in your life when you just can’t control everything. This past week was no different. People will do what they want to do, even when it means burning bridges. Someone I know burned a big bridge too.

I have learned long ago that you can only control what you do. So I don’t get crazy when something happens I can’t control. I just learn from it and move on. So when someone does something really awful to people, like keep prize winnings instead of dividing it up with the team, you just learn from it and move on. I won’t mention names, Val, but everyone knows who it was and what he did.

The bad part of this was it was my first team competition and I worked hard for 6 months that the competition went on. A lot of people did. It’s a shame, but it will not stop me from doing the team competition again. In fact Season 4 starts Monday and I am on a different team this time and it is a group of people I know and trust. They are a good group of people.

I am looking forward to kicking some butt and taking names. So when life hands you a bunch of lemons, throw them away and get something better.

The house we really wanted was $2000 and on an acre of land out in the country. Would have been perfect. Unfortunately the real estate lady would never return our calls, then we got a hold of the broker and was told he would personally make sure she called us back. Never happened. Continue Reading →
