Saturday Blues

Ok, I don’t really know if there is such a thing as the Saturday Blues. My family has other things to do for my in-laws. So it is just me around the house today. I did a small redesign of the members area of Socialviralpruofits.com and some more advertising for the two traffic exchanges.

I have big plans for both TE’s and I can’t wait to implement them. I added TE-Promos badges to Social Viral Profits, so now you can surf to earn cash and collect their badges. I also added a course in the members area that will teach you HTML5. I think it is important to know the basics if you are advertising websites. You can learn to create some really great ads or websites.

Social Viral Profits is looking strong for being open less than a month. I am really happy with the results. I am going to pour a lot of time into developing this site. So the version you see now, will not be the final version of the site.

Have a great weekend.

Happy St. Patricks Day

The Origins of StPatrick’s Day celebrates the Roman Catholic feast day of the patron saint of Ireland. StPatrick died on March 17, 461. But did you know that he wasn’t even Irish?

Patrick’s birthname was Maewyn. He was born in Roman Britain. He was kidnapped into slavery and brought to Ireland.

He escapted to a monastery in Gaul (France) and converted to Christianity. He went back to Ireland in 432 as a missionary. While Christianity had already taken hold in the country, tradition has it that Patrick confronted the Druids at Tara and abolished their pagan rites, making Christianity more widespread.

Patrick became a bishop and after his death was named Ireland’s patron saint. Celebrations in Ireland were understated though. When the Irish emigrated to the U.S., they created the bigger celebrations and parades known today.

Eighteenth century Irish soldiers who fought in the Revolutionary War held the first St. Patrick Day parades. The celebrations became a way for the Irish to connect with their roots after they moved to America.

So in celebration of St. Patricks Day, Social Viral Profits is having a huge special on the Life-Time membership. The Life-Time membership comes with 3000 credits, 3000 banner ads, and 3000 text ads every month. The normal price for a Life-Time membership is $47.

For one day only you can get the Life-Time membership for just $27. Never have to pay again is the best way to go. Free memberships are fine, but to be brutally honest, free takes forever to get where you’re trying to go. You got to spend money to make money. Social Viral Profits is delivering over 250 hits deliver per site. That is a good number in the TE business.

Is Your Time Online Spent Wisely

We all have this problem, spending to much time surfing around instead of doing the work we should be doing. How much time do you think we waste checking this and checking that out? I don’t know about anyone else, but I get side tracked easily. I own several sites that I work full-time from home with and I try to manage my time, but that never seems to work out.

My day should consist of getting up and checking email for support tickets or any other important site related stuff. Then I would get Traffic Browser opened and open 13 traffic exchanges that I am going to surf. I usually make it to that point without to much of a problem. I usually try to surf one hundred sites in each of those 13 TE’s. It takes quite a bit of time to accomplish this. I have to get logged into each site, then spread credits around to each site I am advertising. Then add banner credits to banner, and text ad impressions to text ads. So while I am waiting on Traffic Browser to get those sites opened, I turn on my iMac and my MacBook Pro.

I work with three computers at my desk. I got a PC for Traffic Browser, my iMac for my web design and website editing. Then I have my MacBook for anything else. I think that is where I go wrong. I end up looking at stuff people send me and wasting a lot of time. I spend a good 12-14 hours online a day, sometimes 7 days a week. I like to create stuff for my sites and check out what other people are doing.

When I started working at home I had a set goal to be basically done by noon, so I could have some me time, before the wife and kid gets home. That has never happened. I usually now just take breaks to eat and watch 20-30 minutes of TV, then I’m back at my desk checking emails, advertising, and designing.

I think tomorrow I am going to try to set a rigid schedule and see if I can stick to it and for how long. But I think the problem is I like to surf. Both surfing TE’s and surfing other sites is addictive. I think though, if I could just concentrate surfing on just a handful of TE’s instead of 13-20 a day, I would get more done at those TE’s and would see better results. What do you think? Is it better to hit as many TE’s as you can or is it better to concentrate on just a few each day? Let me know. I’d like to hear what you guys think.

Oh, I am also thinking of opening up my live conference room online and letting anyone who wants to, come in and brainstorm about how we can improved our businesses.
