Mobilegeddon Is Here

MobilegeddonGoogle has just announced your site will be delisted from the search engine if it doesn’t have mobile version. What does this really mean? It means if someone searches Google on their mobile device, your site will not been found. This has been coming for a while.

Mobile searches has taken over desktop searches. More people are doing Google searches on mobile devices more than they do on a desktop. We’ve all seen this trend coming. Look at how many iPhones, android phones, iPads, tablets there are out there. Just about everyone has one or the other.

So what can you do? Well if you have a WordPress site there are plugins you can use. Now this is not a sales pitch. I am not trying to sell anything here. Just want you to be prepared and fix your site. Go to https://wordpress.org/plugins/wptouch/ and download the free plugin and add it to your WordPress blog. That is what I am doing right after this post. I have it on all my other WordPress sites, but this one I started over from scratch about a month ago and I don’t have it installed yet.

But I know it works. I am going to be doing some research on this for other types of sites and soon as I get an answer I will post it here.

Have a great day,
