Juggling Work and Personal Life

JugglingThe last month has been an emotional rollercoaster for my family. While things have been going great with the online business and my wife doing great at her career, we suddenly found ourselves having to move out of the home we have had since 2009.

So the process of finding a new home was daunting to say the least. We knew what we wanted in a home, but we also new this was going to be a temporary home, till we were in the position to buy. Trying to find a suitable home proved to be harder than I initially thought.

We wanted to stay in the same area since my daughter in a sophomore at a very good school. We looked at a few homes that would run us about $1400 to $2200 a month. The house we really wanted was $2000 and on an acre of land out in the country. Would have been perfect. Unfortunately the real estate lady would never return our calls, then we got a hold of the broker and was told he would personally make sure she called us back. Never happened. Continue Reading →

Team ProfitPro Entrepreneur of the Week

Entrepreneur of the Week

I am very honored and surprised at being named Entrepreneur of the Week by John Bell at Team ProfitPro. This means a lot to me that they would consider me and take the time to add me to their list of entrepreneurs. I certainly want to thank John Bell and commend him on the things he is doing with Team ProfitPro, ZubeeZone.com, and TrafficSwirl.com.

For those of you who are interested in the interview I did, you can see it at Team ProfitPro.

I have a lot going on here at home headquarters. I am working on a new training program designed for absolute beginners. Those who wish to have their very own site. As of right now I am in the middle of shooting the tutorials and I am getting close to the end.

I still don’t quite have a title for it yet, but it will be available at JVZoo soon.

I am also in the process of getting ready to move. I believe we have found the house, now just a matter of doing the details. If everything goes according to plan we should start the move on the 21st or 22nd.

I like helping people, so I am going to be moving more of my focus to creating training that will help people. I enjoy doing it and if I can really help people get their start online then I should do it. This isn’t going to be about starting your own traffic exchange. There are enough of those to go around. This will be about building an evergreen business that can be molded with the times.

Google Saying Goodbye to Google Plus

Google-PlusDid anyone see this one coming? Google is dismantling Google Plus. Google is divorcing its popular services from Google Plus, with the first major step being the cancellation of the Google Plus account requirement for YouTube video posting or commenting.

You no longer have to create a Google Plus account just to comment on a viral video or post a video of your own is proving to have been pointless as you’ve expected it to be. Google Vice President Bradley Horowitz says the company is currently scaling Google Plus all the way back so it would be attached to no Google service except for itself.

“We want to formally retire the notion that a Google+ membership is required for anything at Google… other than using Google+ itself.”

The company even wrote an apology-sounding post on its blog admitting the failure.

“While we got certain things right, we made a few choices that, in hindsight, we’ve needed to rethink.”

As you can see Google Plus never lived up to becoming a rival to the almighty Facebook. I never thought it would.

So the question remains, is all that work people like you and I that did to link all our websites to Google Plus for a marketing boost, a waste of time? Only time will tell. Depends on how much more dismantling they do to Google Plus.

Will Google Plus disappear all together? I think it will over time. Since it never lived up to becoming the rival of Facebook why would Google as a company keep pumping money into its development.

So what is your take on the whole Google Plus debacle? What’s been your experience with Google Plus? Personally, I spent a lot of time connecting website to Google Plus and never really saw any benefit from it. So if it goes into the trash at some point, I won’t cry about it.
